I'm looking for a small, lightweight and cheap (guitar) power amp. any ideas?
thought about getting the fame gta-40 from musicstore.com and extracting the amp.

You can run the crate powerblock as a poweramp using the effects loop as far as i can see, its powerful, tiny and cheap

are you looking for a rack-mounted one?

If so, have a look into the rocktron velocity...

if not, I agree with the above, Crate Powerblock is very decent for what it costs...

hmm. I own it and tried it. But it lacks so much power comparing to the power section of my fireball. Could you give me some tips on eq'ing. Or should I just use the poweramp by going into the return fx. but there's still the lack of power and "beefyness". It is loud but not woofy, like pushing air or sth.
