To me LotR was disappointment. I didn't missed Bombadil but that fucking lovestory they put there sucks. Average movie. I liked even that cartoon version more.

They don't. The latest (??) trailer shows a flash where ent grabs Merry or Pippin. It shows only two legs and an arm, but I don't know anything else that's huge and has legs that look like trees.... There's also a flash of an olifant in the trailer.

I don't really mind the love story addition, it's basically just the story of Aragorn and Arwen (from back of the book) intertwined with the main plot.

I bought the theatrical version from the previewed section in Blockbuster (one of the smartest ways to buy DVDs ). I also placed advanced order on the extended version (order it now with great discounts). When I get the new one I'll give the other as a gift to a friend of mine

Oh, and yes, I wish TFOTR were 6 hours long...
