The gr8 battle..

I saw the movie today, it's excellent, I like the fellowship as well, but in this one you get a lot more action and adventuring. The battle at Helm's Deep is really a breathtaking scene. I believe that 80% of the scenes in the film have computerized effects, but then again it's still amazing what man can do with binary logic (0s and 1s) ;). I won't tell you any more because i'll spoil everything that's there for you to see. Just be open minded, sit back, relax and enjoy the film, i'm sure you'll get the same feeling i got when the movie ended ...Sweeeeet :D

yes, i cant wait to see it... i hope the battles will be inspiring, i just love them!!

i was in the premiere yesterday night!
well, just say that for the momentr, because you lot haven't watched it yet;

If you dunno the books, it's excellent, if you have read the books, there will be scenes which will surprise you, and i wasn't positive surprised the most time. But i will watch it more often and hopefully it will grow.

Have fun

cheers

Im going to see it Saturday.

@Forlorn Hope: The reviewer here in Ottawa said it was better than the first, so you can take which ever opinion you want :)

Ok...I'm gonna be hated again.

Am I the only one thinking that this movie is just no big deal? To be honest I never liked sci-fi movies or books (apart from Star Wars-the 3 first parts not those new horible ones), there is no sense of realism.... I dunno, I like stories about life as it is. Funny, sad, I don't care. These kind of flicks just tell me nothing. And above all, I get bored to death. I cannot understand what do you find interesting in a 180 minute film that has battles, dragons, all kinds of unreal characters (trolls, hobbits, whatever they call 'em), great PC work (but this is a film not a video game), and crap acting... The music can be very good though sometimes, I can grant you that. But then, I have the soundtrack, I don't need to watch the film. I get sooooooooo bored lads.... I can't help it.

I'm not biased against the film. I'm gonna watch it this weekend. But it's just for the fun of it, I won't remember nothing afterwards. I dunno why.... To many European flicks I guess. Plus, does it have to be so long? 3 hours???

Don't crucify me kids.... It's just an opinion. I'm gonna post on the film Monday I guess...

And all true film freaks know that Jackson's best work is and will be Braindead. Blood and guts all over baby, yeah!!!

I've watched "The Two Towers" this morning...
and I must say that I'm a huge fan of The LOTR : in fact, I booked my tickets three months ago...hehehe :D
I haven't been disapointed at all by this second episode.
The Ents seem so real, and are phisycally really close from the Tolkien text.
Helms' deep is fantastic, and is 48 minutes long !!! :)
The actors are all fitting very well to the new characters, in my opinion (Grima, Theoden, Eowyn, Eomer, Faramir...)
Of course - and that's why the "Two Towers" is really good - this second movie is way darker than the previous one.
For example, Frodo really seems to be torn apart by the power of the ring, which is a very important point in the book, I think.

@Sol 83 : it is deffo a question of taste : for instance I'm searching for movies that make me dream, I like to watch beautiful landscapes and beautiful costumes...I like fairy tales and all of that. So if you don't like irrealistic movies, just don't go and watch it, it's even more irrealistic than the previous one !!
