LOTR Trilogy

ok, i'll rephrases it. Is anyone here going to see it? I thought about it but I don't think I could sit in a theater 12 hrs. Besides, I can't get a ticket anyway. If your looking for something funny check out some of the ticket prices for the show on ebay.

I'm a fan of the books but since the fucking midget Jackson didn't film the book ending, or maybe he did but it's not in this version anyway. That was my favourite part in the book. It's impossible to film all the things from the book but the ending of ROTK is one of the most important chapters of the trilogy. How come there is time to show a lot of fucking boring scenes with that retard Liv Tyler all the time but not enough time to actually show something that was in the books? Why couldn't they just throw in Paris Hiltons homemovie in the directors edition between all fights? Hope Shagrat and Gorbag are there, I liked those two. But Jackson probably have Peter North and Jenna Jameson fucking instead.

I didn't know they were playing the entire trilogy until after I already had tickets for part three. I'm taking the kids to that one, although I wouldn't mind going to see it anyway. I'd have to call in to work to get the day off, and I am not doing that.

I didn't know they were doing that until I read this thread. That's awesome. I'd love to go, but I can't. My kids wouldn't stay with anyone for 12 hours (well, Tonya wouldn't, Joe would live it up). It would be nice to see the first two in the theater though. I didn't see either one until after I bought them, and even then, I only finished Two Towers last night. (Yes, I know I'm lame, you don't have to tell me.) But we already made plans a couple of weeks ago to ditch the kids and see Return of the King on Saturday.

I've read the books quite a few times growing up, and honestly, if they stuck close to the books, the movies would have been boring as shit....

I thought Jackson has done a good job of adapting the books into movie form. Keep in mind that it is an adaptation...I never expected the movies to be exactly the same as the book, nor did I want them to be. The books were great, and so are the movies, and I have no doubt ROTK will help LOTR justify it's place as one of the best trilogies ever.

And mrthrax, what the hell are you smoking? You're on a bad trip that's left you with no taste. :p
