This is a damn good album. I'm also entirely in love with mix, the bass sounds enormous. Their previous album "Far Q" also sounds killer. Does anyone know who produce/mixed it?

fucking love this band, production is killer! the sax solo on "another sad song" is soooo perfect instantly takes me back like 25 years Far Q has fucking great production especially on the title track i want that bass tone!

but other then loving these albums i have no details for you sorry bro :( i hope others know! i remember reading that the production for far Q had like ZEROOOO budget

I think it might have been at outhouse studios....
With dan lancaster from proceed, and John Mitchell who Mixed You me at six, architects etc

I love this band. First CD I bought in a long time.

Anyway, it was produced by John Mitchell who's worked with Architects and mastered by Alan Douches.

Funnily enough, they demo'd the entire album in a day with my friend when they had a day off on tour. They were in Aberdeen and my mate had just broken up with his girlfriend was hammered outside the gig they just played. The band thought he was homeless. He really liked the band and said they should come stay at his and record some songs. He got woken up in the morning by the band. He didn't have a clue who was in his house at first. They did something like 14 songs in 11 hours.

Pretty certain that they released a demo he did as a B-Side for Beech Like Tree.

i heard the same story off of a mate that went up with his band to record with the same guy your talking about.

Think it was done by Dan Lancaster from glass eye studios. He's a good friend of mine as my brother was in his band Proceed - unfortunately they have split up now, but they were excellent.

edit: after seeing Jeid's post, maybe Dan did the previous one?!

Far Q was done by Dan Lancaster and is sounds fucking awesome.

World Record on the other hand was done at Outhouse studios and hence has the same generic production they do on every single band that goes through there.

Aye, I believe so Dan.

Couldn't agree more. I love the songs on the album but the snare/kick sounds like the same samples used on an Architects record. The cymbals are crazy bright also. The songs make up for it.

Pretty crazy. Small world :)

I really don't rate Outhouse very highly. They haven't changed one bit since I recorded there with my old band 6 years ago. I much prefer the production on Far Q
