Finally broke down and bought an mp3 player. OK, OK I'm slow on the curve.
I have put about 40 CD's on this thing so far ranging from every genre I have and only used 4 gigs of the 30 it has. :headbang: :kickass:

It's freaking music crack for schitzo music fan! Social Distortion to Earth Wind and Fire to Rossini, to Bad Religion to Iron Maiden to Fleetwood Mac to The Maidens all at a couple of button presses. :headbang:

Damn I should have bought one of these a while back.

After watching me load up half of a CD rack my wife is demanding one now.

Creative Zen Vision M

"Quick"time is Apple software and a huge PITA so I wanted to avoid an Ipod.

These have some bells and whistles on them and no Apple software. :)

Tonight to load up the Maiden collection and begin the Rush one. That is about 30+ cds. :headbang:

I'm loading mp3s at 256 bit for the best clarity. The convienience factor is immeasurable. Takes about 5 minutes to load a CD into it with their software. :kickass:

The stock ear buds sound like ass compared to my Sennheiser PX-100 and AKG K28 mini phones.

Any suggestions on great sounding ear buds?

yeah i just read an article, been looking myself...

sennheiser MX 75 sport - 50 bucks
www.sennheiserusa.com

creative ZEN Aurvana - 100 bucks
www.creative.com

Ultimate Ears super.fi 5EB - 200 bucks !!! ouch!!!
www.ultimateears.com

Where was that article Sara? I gotta do some homework myself.

I like Sennheiser phones in general. However for sound in mini phones AKG (K26 and K28NC) have better low end but the Sennheiser (PX-100) have better overall sound and are more comfortable long term.
Using the AKG I turn off any bass boost and the Senn I turn it on.

AKG makes a real cheapie <$25 bud the (K14 and K12) Did the article mention those?

I don't like the type that go down in my ear. I have some like this:

headphones%20style%20001.jpgd54e3aaa-9fcd-4191-bbcb-e44f1239a7b6Large.jpg

I plan on using them for an in-ear monitor system and also to act as a sort of ear plug when I am on stage. I really need to protect my hearing and so should all of you!

When you hear ringing in your ears, that's ear damage! Sometimes, it NEVER goes away... :(

just those three - those are FHM's version of the best, october issue. not much text; the senns are water resistant and have secondary stabilizing pads, the creative ones use hearing-aid audio drivers and eliminate 90% of ambient noise, and the ultimates have 5 different ear tips.

damn 900! how do those fit in your ear? they look like xbox controllers!

First reject, Shure E2G. Very tinny unless I hold them and press to where they feel like they are right against my eardrum. Let go and instantly tinny. :yuk: :yuk:

Tried all the combo's of pads in the package and none stay in worth crap. I have to hold them in place, they suck. They go right back tomorrow.

Next!
