CoB does have some nice lyrics on a few songs, Angel's don't kill for one.
But i don't really pay much attention to lyrics anyways.
 
I like "Silent Night, Bodom Night" lyrics... and, for what I remember just right now, "Everytime I Die" and "Bed Of Razors" lyrics too...
And also "Mask Of Sanity"...

But I haven't said a word about the fact that Mr. Laiho's lyrics would be better than others... it's just that right now I'm suffering from a sort of amnesia...

I've never heard of that, but I have scanned through some AC lyrics/song titles and chuckled. Although, most of them are highly offensive to some people. I dno how they get away with it.
 
I think CoB has very very weak vocals.

Amorphis and Borknagar have great vocals. Really you could pick almost any viking/folk/pagan influenced band. All put great time and effort into their vocals rathen then 2 weeks locked in an apartment with a bottle of whiskey.
 
I really likje some of cob's lyrics anyway.... for example kissing the shadows or angel don't kill, but alexi isn't exactly that much of a lyrrics writer... I prefer much sonata arctica's lyrics, expecially my selene, the only whole song from jani liimatainen. also I like some of norther's lyrics, like omen... others very god lyrics are queen (some of my fave there but I'm obsessed with them so...)... nightwish have also good lyrics, some within temptation... some epica... edguy has good lyrics! angra also... and a lot of italian people... I really play attention to lyrics usually, eeing a singer mstly, but with cob I rarely d, maybe cause you can barely understand what alexi's saying!
 
warheart: lol Anal Cunt!!! Their lyrics are fuckin crazy..probably the most offensive band ever.

I love Cradle of Filth, Bodom, Mayhem, and God Dethroned lyrics.

Or maybe you concentrate on the riffs/solos, that's atleast what i do !
