Mörglbl and Freak Kitchen...US tour dates!

From BMP:

Below is the original tour announcement with two updates. BMP is pleased to announce that Panzerballet will join Freak Kitchen on Saturday, 3 September, at The Hangout in Florence, South Carolina.

Please remember, however, that the best way for travelers to catch these magnificent bands is to see Freak Kitchen at the Prog Day Pre- show (with Cameron Allen and Galactic Cowboy Orchestra), and Mörglbl and Panzerballet at Prog Day! If you've got a little extra time, hang out in Raleigh to see Mörglbl and Freak Kitchen together at The Lincoln Theater (with Andy Wood) on Monday, 5 September. Make a good long weekend of filling your brains while you can!

The Mörglbl, Consider The Source, Freak Kitchen show on Wednesday, 7 September will be at the North Star Bar.

Looks like the venue is the place to go...Great deal for 2 awesome bands!

From BMP:
"Tickets for the Drom are $12 advance, $15 day of show. See the venue. I can't believe how incredibly cheap they are!"

Still hoping for a Chicago show...

If it does, it will probably be just Morglbl, but hey, I've been wrong on this thread before! Knowing your FK Freakdom, I'd still say Morglbl on their own are worth the trip! :yow: Hell, I'm driving up to Madison to see them at an outdoor fest at the end of August..then off to Florence....Hopefully being sober by the time I get to Atlanta!

It's an odd billing, but here's your chance to see Morglbl in the windy city!

From the promoter:

There were a lot of requests for a Mörglbl show in Chicago, and thanks to the help of some old and new friends, Blue Mouth Promotions LLC
(BMP) is excited to announce that Mörglbl will be at the Ultra Lounge,
2169 N. Milwaukee Ave in Chi-town on Saturday, August 27. Doors at 7pm. Show starts at 8pm.

Be sure to catch the other bands on the bill that evening: Guzzlemug www.guzzlemug.bandcamp.com , Three Cheers for One Dead Man www.myspace.com/dylanposa, and Arriver www.myspace.com/arriver.

You asked for Chicago, so go and take ALL of your friends! Let's show Mörglbl a proper Chicago welcome!

As of this moment, yes it does...They are trying to secure what the promoter is calling a "retail" show......They were talking maybe Little 5 Points area, last I heard..... I know she has checked this thread, so if you have any smallish bar/venue selections, either post them here, or PM me and I'll forward them on, this band REALLY needs to be heard & experienced live....they are a ton of fun! If you can go, GO!

There has been an update to this:

Hello everyone!

Try as we might, we couldn't come up with a good 'retail' show for Mörglbl in Atlanta.

Mörglbl will be conducting a band clinic on Tuesday, August 30 at 9pm at the Atlanta Institute of Music http://aim-music.com/.

It's free, and it is open to the public. Feel free to buy some merch from the band though!

A band clinic is essentially a concert with some instructional discussions between. If you're going, please enjoy the music and remember that many students there may be asking questions of the band. Trust me, it won't short the music any!

I got so busy w/ work, I forgot to update the Atlanta situation.

+1,000,000 to what Milton said. Glenn, go check em' out! :Smokedev:

I would think FK should be getting an hour, but get there early....

Good to see they're playing Atl.
May haveta check it out.

Morglbl is playing Atlanta, FK is not, unfortunately... The Freak Kitchen getting an hour was from another post (Mystic1) asking about set times on the shows where both bands are playing. Damn me for not using quotes!

Just wanted to post this, so people don't get the wrong idea....

By all means go see Morglbl, they are a great band on cd, and eaqually great live. The whole band is chock full of talent.......

2 GREAT shows with Morglbl this weekend. Madison had a nice BIG crowd at the outdoor festival. Ran ran into some Prog Power people there who seemed to really like what they heard & saw. Prog Power shirts are a beacon! Thanks for coming out and checking out this fine French band!
