Question regarding my old M-Audio 1814 w/ ADAT output.
What I'm trying to do is simply route the analog input from the 1814 preamps through to the ADAT output so my RME Babyface will pick it up. The Babyface only has 2 analog inputs but can accept 8 additional channels of ADAT input for 10 total. I can get the two units to sync no problem and lock, the fiber out from the 1814 is lit up, and I have signal on the analog input and output of the 1814 but I see nothing going to ADAT in the M-Audio control panel.
Any thoughts? Maybe I'm misinterpreting how ADAT is supposed work with the 1814. I'm just assuming that any of the 8 analog inputs on the 1814 would route directly to the 8 ADAT outputs when the unit is synched - however, maybe it's only the 8 ADAT inputs that map to the ADAT outputs.
