Mac OS X Lion

You can only have 1 row in spaces now? -_- Why? That's retarded, you could always have only one row if you wanted to, now you don't have a choice?

I hope there is more under the hood stuff to be excited about because the updates that are being talked about mean squat to me. Apparently Apple is previewing the OS to a bunch of security people to take a look at. That should be interesting.

I don't understand the practical use of it... seems like it's less productive actually.

The features that sound cool to me are autosaving in apps and the "resume" after restart which puts you right back where you were at.

A few nice small changes, like the mail app displaying conversations like on the iPad / iPhone and the fullscreen apps etc.
But those are updates I'd expect from 10.6.7 and not a big update like 10.7.

It's hard to improve on perfection, and in my opinion Snow Leopard is the perfect OS. I think at this point all we can hope for is for Apple to not fuck things up - and it looks like they haven't - these are nice new features geared at home/office users (without getting in the way of pros), and the update is priced extremely low. I'm not expecting any big under-the-hood changes, because they've already proven the awesomeness of Mac OS X on the Intel platform with Snow Leopard.
