I bought a 2i2 about a month ago and I can't really complain, I haven't had any issues with drivers whatsoever, it just works. Though when I got it I tried setting the buffer size to the smallest at 96khz sample rate, but that's going to crash pretty much anything that isn't a quantum computer. As for the quality of the signals they're alright, but you'll have to use the Line setting on the pres rather than instrument for any pickups with relatively high output (EMGs, most humbuckers and such) unless you use a DI box else the converters will clip hard even at 0 gain. Turning down the volume pot on your guitar is another option I guess.
