Ok so i often hear of you guys talking about using macro commands and im not so sure of how to go about using them myself.

So here are my questions;

1. What are macro's?
2. What can macro's be used for and what are you using them for?
3. How do i write/use macro's?
4. Do you find any benifit to your workflow using macro's?

Il probably add more questions as the thread progresses,

Any input would be much appreciated

Cheers

1. macro is alternative name for "script", a short piece of commands that control the software
2. for example you could make a macro of a process that would otherwise take 10 keystrokes, but you would just have to press one key with a macro
3. program dependant, rtfm
4. yes, it usually makes things faster

Cool thanks for that and to ask another question what are you using macros for as part of your tracking / editing / mixing workflow any particular macros you are using that are a lifesaver ect
