Maiden on Australian Idol!

Sorta. Was just watching Idol Extra on Channel V and you could hear the band warming up in the background and the guitarist was clearly playing the intro to Number of the Beast (the guitar bit, not the "Woe to you" bit, which would have been interesting to hear on the guitar). Quite cool.

Then a minute or so later it sounded like the drummer was playing the intro to Run to the Hills, but maybe he wasn't.

You know, now I think of it, Xena was telling me last year that Andrew G listens to "Number of the Beast" every night before a show to rev himself up.
