Anyone watching this? I know Bri-Bri is, but anyone else? It's pretty dire this year.

I thought, going into Sunday night's show, that this was probably the best top 12 since the second series (which isn't really saying much). Disappointing.

At least there are a few rock guys this year, but they went and got rid of one of them last night.

But at least Idol is a chance for me to get to hear new music. I never hear new music. I realised the other day that I've heard countless Idol covers of "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keyes, but have never heard the original. Go figure.

Personal favourites - the three remaining rock guys and the big Aretha Franklin-singing chick. The rest can go home. Boo. Especially that Tom Williams kid. He's really going to annoy me.

I was some guy audition in a Gene Simmons outfit and another guy doing AC/DC thunderstruck, amusing but It was by chance that I turned on the TV at that moment.

I prefer American Idol, just because it's a lot funnier. I'm not really bothered about the singing contest, just the deluded freaks. I tried Australian Idol last year, but got a bit bored.

Just watched Wes win, even though I didn't watch too much of the show this year. I actually kinda liked his song which will be released as his first single.

I think this is the first time when the strongest singer through the whole series has won. I picked him to win the first time I saw him, but I probably do that with half of them anyway.

Easily the best contestant they've had on the show though. He rules.

Seriously? I thought Mark was the better singer, but probably expected Wes to win, and he probably did deserve it. A bit of a tosser though, but oh well, most are.

I would say Damien was by far the best singer of his year, if not the best they have had, and he won.

I judged them both by the 15 seconds of each of them on the ads for the final, and thought they both sucked.

Wes has easily one of the best voices that I've heard off any season (even though I don't actually watch the show, I hear bits and pieces as I flick channels). He's got a bit of an older 70's rock voice which is a nice change.

How? I'm judging by what I heard, and I didn't like it. I appreciate that they've got "different" voices that are a bit rockier and whatnot from the norm, but the little bit I heard sounded out of tune and strained. And I figure if those are the bit's they're advertising, then they're the good bits.

I'm willing to listen to more and have my mind changed, but I don't really care enough to go and hunt any down myself.
