Maiden Sydney Bootleg

I wish they would release a DVD cut straight from the big screens beside the stage. Would be much more enjoyable than any of the official releases of the past 16 years.

I was talking to my wife about this last night.......
if you have 10,000 people ordering a DVD of there show at the merchandise stand and paying $35 each, extra $350 000 in revenue for doing bugger all. The feed to the screens has to go somewhere, why not feed it into a hard drive and burn to DVD.

Post them out to people, I dont think that the orders can be filled on the night. Even if people are going to 2 shows in 2 nights, I still think they would want to buy a DVD to remember the weekend

hearing that.........even if half of the people that order burn one for a friend, its still $350 000 on top of whatever the profit for the show is.

damn, i would have bought one. Might even stop the mobile phone footage on youtube

They'd probably have to pay the venue a fair few $$, but you're correct, they'd make a mint, together with all the merch they sold..

It's a shame whoever the fuck edits the footage for Maiden are fucked. All the camera switching is nothing short of ridiculous, sometimes I can't believe how bad it is. A fast song does NOT mean you have to have 16 switches of angles in 5 seconds.

That would be Mr Steve Harris. :)

That would be Mr Steve Harris. :)

Right. He's fucked. Sure, he writes half the music and has carried the band for longer than i've been alive, he's a great bass player, and a good songwriter, but the one thing he can't do is edit a video ;) I seriously hope he lets someone else have a go :erk:

He's been doing it since Maiden England. If he hasn't figured it out yet he never will. :)

There used to be people here who thought Maiden could do no wrong, and said (someone can find the posts, I'm sure) that Steve is the best person to edit the DVDs because he IS the band... but those people were wrong.

Sorry, is this just an audio file? It took sometime to download but I'm yet to check it out but whatever the format it's gonna be gold! I only just got my voice back this weekend from that show!

Rock In Rio was actually edited, professionally, in LA. It was then re-edited by Mr Harris cos it wasn't 'good' enough. Or so I was told by people in da know.
