Anyone got any tips on how to make your own effects? Bassdrops, atmosphere's, ambience? Other things I guess sampling?

Thanks!

In logic you can use the test oscillator to make some pretty cool bass drops. I'm not sure how to go about it in any other DAW but the concept is probably pretty similar. If you're interested in learning let me know.

you could use vsts for make some atmosphere's and ambience, nexus, sylenth 1 etc, let my now if im wrong :)

Hello! I'm not an expert but I tried one method that worked for me. For creating "big impacts" FX you can use reverb and a limiter.
For example, add an aux track with reverb and a limiter with long release to a cracky snare. As you turn down the threshold of the limiter you'll get an effect of proximity while preserving the depth of the reverb. Nothing fancy ;)
