Dude, this is actually really fucking cool. I always loved using old furniture and stuff as studio pieces.
I did this with all kinds of weird stuff.... I love the vibe and look it gives off.
Goodwill FTW.
I would have left the 'patina' of the wood or sanded it down and stained it. Brutal.

Ah, when it's free it makes it all the better. Great fun too seeing it come from an old coffee table to a studio rack. It's gong to look more pro than mine, but still, self made FTW. Can't wait too see the purple beast when it's done! (Not really sure what mountain dew is, but I'm sure you'll find another place to put that

HAHAHAHAHAHA....YEAH.. pretty much. Jeez. The Primer is taking FOREVER to dry. Lol. It's been drying for like 4 hours. I might have to update this tommorow. I also like the homemade feel. Of coarse this could be because i dont have any pro gear. hehehe......I'm excited about it too though.
I thought about it....I actually have some wood stain here that REALLY would have brought it out. But I was offered with Purple CAR paint....hahaha. Can you imagine? Anyways...turns out the Primer I used is oil based...so its taking a long time. But the end result is going to be FLASHY!!!

Luckily theres an asian shop down the road from me that imports it from the philipinnes and i can get a 1.5Ltre bottle for £1.80 which is cheaper than coca-cola!! Anyone outside the UK tried "Irn-Bru"??
That table is awesome, and i'm loving the Ikea Bed-side table!! thats fucking awesome, i love ikea for how simple yet effective their stuff is... i have my set up on one of their big ass desks!!
