SO ive got this gig up in the hills around Melbourne recording a few tracks for a band (4 to be exact). They have some averge rooms there, but thats not my problem, my problem is the gear.

They have some stuff there, but they dont know how to use it. The guitarist got talked into a deal and got:
Motu 896HD
Behringer ADA8000
Behringer Eurodesk (shh, we all know)
and various headphone shite.

Now im taking my gear up- my pres are:
Digi 002
Focusrite Pres (connect w/ ADAT)
TL audio 4ch Valve pres (connect w/ analogue ins)

BUT..heres where it gets confusing. Im wondering if i should use the 8 pres in the Motu, take the ADAT out of that and use it instead of my Octopre. Im growing bored of my Octopre, but it does the job.

Has anyone had any experience with MOTU pres, WOULD this set up work, or should i stick to what i know?

and dont worry, im steering clear of the Eurodesk :puke:

I've heard MOTU pres are pretty crappy, so I'd go for the Octopre - this is all from secondhand info, though.
