Ok, I did go through the search option and didnt find anything explaing my problem. Ive been using Boss DR Drum as a click and pasting together the different tempo changes. But its a drag to have to set it up and use up 2 tracks for it.
My question is, does anybody know how to map a song on a click in pro-tools?? Everytime I try to do it, I get a pop up saying I cant record in Low Latency mode, But when I take it off theres latency and the drummer cant follow the click because of the "delay" effect. How can I record in low latency mode and still us the click?!? Somebody, anybody? Also how do I change tempos in mid song?

Any help is much appreciated,
Adrian

I dont know if you HAVE to record in low latency mode or not. you might just have your hardware buffer set too high. go to Setup > and then i think Playback Setup or Hardware Setup.. one of the two, and make sure your buffer is set to either 64 or 128, and that should cut your delay out. if that doesn't do it, you might wanna look into buying a faster computer, cuz you're gonna have serious problems when it comes to mixing.

if you use the click built into Pro Tools (which you can learn to use if you spend a few minutes reading the manual) it might be a LITTLE less stressful than recording your click maybe... but thats beside the point.

I use Pro Tools to generate the click. You can change tempos wherever you need to (as with any sequencing program) - you'll just need to spend a bit of time making sure the tempo changes, if any, happen exactly where you want them to. Depending on how complicated your music is, including time signature changes etc. it might take a bit of time as you'll need to tell Pro Tools how you want things laid out. Do all of this in grid mode as well, that way you can see exactly where the tempo/signature changes occur by the bar markers etc. I do this all the time and it doesn't take too long once you get the hang of it.
