Man, I really gave these guys a fair shake but they really suck. They are no Immortal that's for sure.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one man. I will say I like Immortal wayyyy more than Marduk but Le Grand Danse Macabre is a fuckin' great album..which album did you partake in hearing?

Panzer is like a blur... I think all their other stuff is a bit more well constructed rather than just hyper speed blackness... but I think it's still cool...

Well, they sure aren't. But don't get me wrong, I love Marduk. It's just that Marduk and Immortal hardly can be placed in the same genre. Immortal have gone for the more atmospheric side of black metal. But I couldn't disagree more about the blastfest that is 'Panzer division...', that is one of the most extreme albums i've ever heard.

I don't think this has anything to do with taste - I think we can state as a fact that "Panzer division Marduk" is the most extreme metal album ever made!
I have that and "La grande danse macabre" and I think they're both good, although I must admit that I very, very rarely listen to them. Hyperspeed braindead smashing gets tiresome after a while. I remember the last time I heard "La...", when I was about to put on side 2 I was like "Argh, do I HAVE to listen to this??"

Marduk fvcking owns. If all you've heard is "Panzer...", you need to hear more than that. Check "Opus Nocturne" or "Heaven Shall Burn" for some early SUPERB black metal from these Swedes...
I think Immortal owns Marduk. Marduk can't beat the atmosphere Immortal gets on their albums (like AT THE HEART OF WINTER). AT THE HEART OF WINTER is a fucking epic. And PANZER DIVISION MARDUK has to be one of the worst, gheyest, and shittiest (all at the same time) metal albums of all time.

I think that Panzer Division Marduk can get pretty boring, but it's always good to listen to that album every once and awhile.
They are reasonable.I own their Nightwing album,and it contains a few good tracks,but also some very fogetable ones.
that's the thing, I like a few songs but I know people who act like Marduk is one of the greatest bands on the planet and I have to disagree with them.
