Hi everyone,

Well one of my 4x12s needs some love, its been through quite a few wars haha and its looking tired.

Apart from that Im gonna be recording with it over the next few weeks and need to get it ready.

I want to replace the back panel which is MDF with plywood and replace the plastic handles and input sockets for metal hardware but I cannot find anywhere to get these parts from in the UK.

Can anyone suggest anywhere?

Also anyone got any cool mods for these cabs?

Cheers

Thanks for you replies.

I have swapped all speakers to Vintage 30's already; and it sounds great, tried the x pattern with 75s but preferred the v30s on their own.

The cab I am happy with just want to renew the hardware handles, input and back panel as they are wrecked.

I looked at Maplin and they do not stock metal handles or input dish plate in the correct specs any more so am stuck trying to find a supplier.

Any ideas for a supplier in the UK?

Cheers

ring up marshall themselves, they have an extensive parts list which you can purchase from!! ive used em before for amp logos, handles, corners and pots.

or maybe try www.thomann.de, they stock some of these marshall spares. Other than maplin theres a company called CPC, they are similar to maplin, however have a vastly larger range than maplin, and are alot cheaper on most products.

Who wants to replace the *crappy* plastic handles with more overpriced crappy marshall handles. :goggly:

I'de like to find out this info if you find a spot, although i'm in the U.S. But I have a b cab that needs saving. (Tolex, handles (steel), etc.)
