I just watched the demo video of it in Guitar World, and I have to say that with all it's cool "all in one" features, it seems like it still isn't a very good metal amp. The reviewer is always playing blues licks that sound great, but he never shows off what it can do in the heavy arena. I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure, but it just sounds like they put a JCM800 with a JCM2000 TSL and melded the two.

Have any of you heard/tried it? I'm curious.

i have not played the JVM410, have played the JCM's though. Couldn't really tell ya i would have to listen tor play the JVM. I'm assuming it would sound like a JCM but with a cleaner blusier tone, kinda like what they did with the Peavey 5150 II, not a big difference.

Dude, I've heard some alot of bad things about the JVM series. I would steer clear of them. I just bought the Peavey JSX head......FUCKING GODLY!

Played one a while back, albeit no' for long. I'm meaning tae save for a Marshall, but I dunnae know which. At least a 100 watt-sized bastard'd do me good for some time, I'm sure.

EDIT: Haha, 1000 posts. Sad fucker.

I went to GC to play one. They'd sold it. So I played a JSX, a Triple Rec, and a Stiletto Ace combo they had there. Results:

1.) JSX was better than I expected. Way better than the XXX - I could actually use the JSX for something.

2.) I still hate Celestion V30s.

3.) Every time I go into a GC to use a Recto for reference, I have to turn the gain down from "cranked". No wonder they always sound like ass when I hear people playing through them...

4.) The Ace was outstanding. I'd played the series I Stilettos and hated them all. Mesa fixed it - it had the dense midrange of a JCM 800 with a lot more gain and Mesa-style top and bottom end. I totally forgot about wanting to try the Marshall.
