Opinions on this amp? I know that chuck schuldiner (death) used one and had amazing tone and I heard that meshuggah used them around the DEI era, and DEI had the best metal guitar tone ever so if they did use this amp someone please clarify.

Nahh, DEI was a Dual Rectifier, IIRC.
They did use the Marshall for touring, tho.

I really don't think that could of been a dual rec, the album is very thin sounding and sounds nothing like a rectumfrier.Nahh, DEI was a Dual Rectifier, IIRC.

There is a gear list for DEI somewhere on the internet, there was some kind of tc electronic rack thing in the effects loop too. Lots of clips of this amp around here. We had the combo version of this at the guitar store where I work sometimes and its pretty badass. I dont think its the greatest amp ever but for what they sell for used its a steal. I think it would make a great blending amp, to compliment something more mesa or 5150-ish for recording purposes. It would also be my go to if my apartment burned down and I had to rebuild my rig on a seriously small budget.
