Similar in style to older Incantation and Sinister, the essential form of this band stretches to include a plurality of influences, ranging from older speed and heavy metal to modern black metal styles, something which is absorbed by a deft understanding of how riffs fit together.

Not trying to pigeonhole you as a promoter, but is this YOUR band?

Sounds promising, although I never liked the MySpace player. I'll post feedback once I hear some.

Haha, you just linked to MySpace. That's so metal!

Cows.

Edit: Interesting riff progressions. There is a striking similarity to early Incantation, although the nature of the percussion and the excellent and tasteful use of tension and release brought to mind specific moments from the catalogues of Entombed and Malevolent Creation. The solo in the first track is adequately haunting, and the guitar tone is killer overall, solo especially, and riffs as well. Integration of guitar effects and rhythmic chords is equally intriguing. The black metal elements are certainly present in the dissonant nature of the progressions and melodies. The second song is less memorable, although rife with sweet atonal harmonics, and the settling into that Eastern-tinged melody at 1:20 is well done.

In summation, great work. Does the band have an official site or someplace to grab a few mp3's?

No, that's not his band.

It's been a while since I've listened to this song (and the flash-things on Myspace tend to take forever to load), but as I recall, it was fairly interesting, despite the fact that at times the heavy metal influence rather powerful.

Masochism doesn't have an official site with any content at the moment.
