) team to see that although Portugal can move the ball about and get up the field, they just can't finish - Pauleta has looked awful through the whole tournament, and the attacking midfielders apparently have so little confidence in their finishing that they go down every time they get in or near the box. If every dive had been a shot instead, the chances are that they would have got something - but they didn't have any faith in their shooting. I think France were happy to sit back and soak it up a bit because they were fairly confident Portugal wouldn't score.And yeah, Ronaldo's diving has been awful - if he ever plays in England again (which seems doubtful), he's going to get absolutely pummeled.

A team like Portugal that can´t break a well organized defence life the french one can´t be world campion but ii can´t agree more with you except about Ronaldo not playing anymore in England. I remind you the greek player that scored the winning goal for greece against portugal in the euro 2004 final signed for benfica the following year.
i hope france wins. zidane deserves a great goodbye. Also italy way of playing makes me sleepy.

Yeah.. i have the same with NFL.. i do understand all the rules, i just dont get it, i mean, all those yellow flags, replays, it's supposed to be 4 times 15 minutes no? why does it always end up in a three hour match?
I think every male in europe get's and understands soccer, females tend to dislike it or only like it when their country is playing... offside is still a difficulty factor for them though..

I've been disenchanted with the tournament ever since Australia played Croatia. The refferee lost control of the match, and Australia suffered as a result. The match against Italy was a new level of poor professionalism though. A penalty with 6 seconds left on the clock? Please...
I'm also a tad disappointed that Germany got knocked out in the final minutes of extra time. It was their own fault though. They didn't have the strikers to capitalize on the scoring opportunities they had. Frings messed up big-time, and Ballack's performance for the entire tournament has been mediocre at best.
At this point I don't care who wins. I hate all the remaining sides
