Melodic metal-core thingie, I think it's done

Well done X. That's a pretty pro sounding recording/mix there. I agree the clean vocals at the start sound great, really crisp  . If I had to pick on anything it would be that the snare seems a bit buried a bit behind the vocals sometimes, eg at around 2:32, just being a picky bastard though, maybe try some andy-style verb.

Disclaimer: What the hell would I know though:lol:

That sounds better. I really like the kick sound. It blends really well with the bass in the riffs at around 1:29 - 1:50. I must say that the song is really growing on me due to its diversity.

Once again, really nice sounding production dude. :kickass:

Care to share OD/AMP/CAB/MIC/PRE details?

(Is it my crappy computer speakers, or is the guitar much more present in the left speaker? I understand it is deliberately in the intro at around 27 sec but for alot of the song it seems a bit louder).

EDIT: I think it's just my comp speakers, everything sounds quieter in the right one (balance is set ok:heh: )

peavey triple xxx
reamped and blended with a sovtek mig60
ts9dx on the front end, no gain, tone on about 4 (just weeding out some WOOF)

12 guitar tracks (I think)
marshall jcm800 slant cab with V30's w/an sm57 slightly off axis in the center of the cone 1 inch from the grill.

pre was my soundtracs topaz 32/8 board

all that into nuendo with C4 set on andys settings

they used a esp les paul style guitar with emg's (cant remember the model)

The clean vocals sounds like you use a Neumann and run it trough a 10 000$$$
mic pre;)

Nice job!!1

The kick sounds like the gog file andy has posted? Am I right

Great job:rock:
The kick is a sample of his kit, but I eq'd the crap out of it with andy's kick as a reference so I could get close to it. The band thought Andy's was too clicky so if you solo it up it has a little more bottom than Andys' I tried to get it close though

And I'd love to take credit for that vocal sound, but really this guy is an amazing singer I think you could run him through anything and he'd sound fantastic

great work!
the only thing i dislike is the guitarsound of the singlenote-lines at the beginning (when left sides's playing only) and the way the guitar on the right side is faded/cut right before that.
great vocalist, i love the way he's stretching it vocallines over the riffing without careing too much about the guitars melodie (in a good way).

12 tracks including acoustics, melodies etc, not simultaneously, right?

again, thumbs up, great work!
definitely pro-sounding production good songwriting, too.
how's the band called?

Yeah that's it an Eclipse!
14 tracks including the two acoustics.
Generally not going all at once.
The band is called Out of the Suffering.

You dont like my fade-in on the triplets? Man I thought that was some fabulous production right there. :P

I guess I'll reamp those single note runs and gain them up a little

thanks for the feedback dudes

Really good job overall, congratulations! What somewhat bothers me: the guitars sound somewhat chorus-ish (am I the only one who hears it?) and also, the screamed vocals could use a little more presence or something, they sounds a bit distant/phasey to me. But that's just me, it still sounds great man!
