The wife and I went to my folks' house, and all 4 of us proceeded to get drunk. That was pretty neat, and a rare thing.

New hiking boots, some horror t-shirts, music, 8 books on Dune, and some motherfucking alpaca socks. The best ever.

I spent $550 at REI yesterday. At this point I might as well give up trying to be responsible with my financial existence.

Well, my last pair of hiking boots are probably 6 years old at this point, but I did buy some alpaca socks a few years ago. And I'm sure to have spoken of them. Because as much as I love wool socks, having worn them daily for many years, alpaca socks are like the luxurious refined version.

Wool socks = Mercedes
Alpaca socks = Maybach

I think dorian and I were going on about hiking boots not long ago though. Something about "the best 4WD is actually a proper pair of boots" or something. Bipedalism FuckTheWorld!
