mesa rectifier heads in 220 v

You can use an external step down tranny, no problem.
Make sure it's at least 500w though, better 1000.
Mesa PTs dint have 220v taps, so if you don't wanna use an external transformer you'll have to buy a new internal one = roughly 250€

the 220v versions are rare and expensive!
im planning to buy a mesa and impossible to find a second hand one in 220v

Are you serious? Took me 3 seconds for find many item.

Btw Sydney from Rockline (Toulouse amp tech, and plextone amp boss) had a 2 channels dual recto ref F, USA version with European voltage imput tranny for sale. Probably still available.

Or buy an US voltage model with a step down tranny. Dual recto heat 480w of power approx. I power my lovelly Markustifier :)lol:) with a 750w step down tranny without any problem since I bough it. So no worry:headbang:

Mesa's only have 120/240 taps? Weird.

Issue I saw was power was bad in a lot of countries, specifically Taiwan and Israel have highly variable wall output. Underdriving the tranny especially after a stepdown could redplate the tubes.
