I am from Germany and I say the "e" in Mesa exactly as I say the "e" in Porsche...
I always pronounced it Beh-hemoth, but then again I used the word long before I knew of the band
And Rhys, personally I'm not entirely sure there are exceptions to my rule - I say "niche" as "neesh", for example, which seems to be a rare one

I used to until I started listening to the band, and when I saw interviews they pronounced it ba-hemoth.
