Meshuggah-Nothing

"Nothing" is the perfect name for this album. Why? -Because there's nothing here you could possibly want. The first track --Stengah-- blends amazingly heavy grunge with a creepy guitar solo in the middle. You might very well think that this is the heaviest and sweetest song you've ever heard. When it is over, you may say "That kicked ass!". When it track 2 comes up, though, the whole album falls apart. Trust me, Once you've heard "Stengah", you've heard the entire album. Every other song on this album has the same basic formula as the first, and the only difference in each song is the order in which the notes are played! There's this one, crappy, little outro thing that was put in there for no reason. You don't know why it is in there, and you don't know what the hell is going on. "Nothing" is, by far, the worst album I have ever heard. If you want to hear Meshuggah's ultra-heavy style, just go to their website and download a free sample. This album is truly a disgrace to the world of metal.

Well, I just don't like albums that me groan in misery like that one. All the songs sound the same, that is why I hate it. If there had been 1 or two songs in that formula, I probably would have liked it.

The album sucks, 'Nothing' was the album that Meshuggah let me down on. Even though Chaosphere could have been better. I bought 'Nothing', felt very let down wanting my money back.

Destroy Erase Improve,None and Contradictions Collapse is where it's at.

I can agree to an extent that it sounds the same. But listen to number 7. Its really different if you actually listen to the whole thing. Also, Rational gaze is a pretty kickass. Heres how I see it; I>DEI>Chaosphere>Nothing>Contradictions>None
Everything is a close call there, and I haven't heard Catch 33 yet.

You know, because someone likes a different style of music than you doesn't particularly mean they have a bad taste in music, or that they're homosexual.
