It's very nice that for Obzen and Meshuggah production talks someone that is very close to the band.I have just one question.Guitars on Obzen are dual or quad tracked?Thanks!

Quad tracked, but not the usual "less gain and quad to make it fat" but their regular insanely distorted sound. Same amount of distortion as on the Alive DVD.

TBH I think this album sounds terrible. The irony with Meshuggah is that their best sounding records were done in 96 and 98. 12 years later they are still pushing crap up a hill in that regard. Honestly I think there are a few people on this very forum that could've done a better job.

Musically though Obzen slays and I listen to it all the time

It was originally written as a huge pisstake song making fun of Fred Thordendal to mock his 30th birthday, so probably 2000. It appeared on the Rare Trax CD in 2001.

I also dont think it sounds bad, It is a very distinct sound well.. very Meshuggah .
