met anyone from anthrax?

I met Anthrax in Australia on their S442 tour in 96. They were cool. Scott and Charlie were fairly quiet. Frank was a nice guy. John was crazy - very loud and friendly, almost like he was fired up already for their show that night. Paul Crook was the nicest guy you could have hoped to meet - friendly and out to please the fans.

I have met all members of Anthrax From Fistful of Metal(-Neil Turbin, but have talked to him on the telly), to the curent lineup. All of them are really cool. For a while I thought Scott was a dick, but changed my mind last time I was in his presents. He was really cool for a change. lol. I would say of all of them, Charlie and Frank where the most friendly. But they all are. Even my Coo-Coo-Clock buddy Dan.

I´ve only met Rob, I was before a gig and he walked past the few of us by the stage (2 hours before the show), guess he was a bit bored. It was kinda funny cauze he was looking at us and grinning like "wonder if these guys know I´m "the new guy" in Anthrax".

I nodded and wished him good luck with the show, he is a very friendly guy!

I met them in Texas. Frank, Rob and John were very cool and hung out w/ the friends. Charlie and Scott seemed like they were worn out from the touring, but still met with fans and signed autographs and took pictures with us. I told John I was up at the Gorge Ampitheater for the Maximum Rock tour, and he remembered it and talked about how bad ass of a place for concerts that is, but how horrible the management is there.

I did interviews with Scott and Charlie for a mag when they were in Prague, talked to John, Paul Crook and Rob.

I met Scott once in the 90ies before the gig in vienna. He was looking at some bootlegs of thrax at the cd-shop.
After the gig I wondered, that Scott drove away in a car without the rest of the band (only with a chauffeur). At that time, I thought, I saw them the last time (but thank god I was wrong)

Some years later I went to the bar of the concert hall hours before the gig. It was a small location, so they had the catering for the band at the bar, not in the dressing rooms. The bar was opened for concert-goers also. My girlfriend was waiting for me. I was wearing the POT-Sweater. I passed a guy with a hoodie and he went by doing this  and someone on a table shouted: "Yeah, Heavy Metal!". I came to my girlfriend (who wasn't an Anthraxfan at that time) and she said: Wasn't this guy the bald guy from Anthrax? And, who are those guys behind us, shouting at you? I wasn't interested and I didn't turn around. I thought, they might be drunken and looking for a fight or something :loco: Some minutes later they left, I turned around and I recognized, that we'd been sitting next to my favorite band without knowing it.

The last time I saw them was this summer in Salzburg. You find the story here: http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=160860

Had the pleasure of meeting everbody at one point or another with the exception of Turbin. Nice guys one and all. Very into there fans which is one of the reasons Ive been a fan for so many years. No rock star attitudes or arogance with these fellas.

I said hi to Joey Vera on the way to the men's room during the What Doesn't Die video shoot. Does that count? Also, I told Charlie he was the best drummer around and sort of said hi to Scott and John when the took pictures with Lord Lindsey and Canthraxadian. But I've never really met them. I had a chance to meet Scott back in 1986(he had long hair) when I saw him standing by some DRI T-shirts before a gig started but I was a little lit up on old E and didn't want to embarass myself.

I´m going to see them first time, in next February. At the concert here in São Paulo, Brazil! Hope I can meet ´em at their arrive in Hotel, or in the Venue! Or maybe in the backstage!!! THAT WOULD BE SO FUCKIN KICK ASS!!! But I´m sure it won´t happen... :-/

I've been fortunate enough to meet the guys a few times now. The first time I met them I hung out with Charlie, John, and Frank. The next time was a Chicago show, and I got to hang out with everyone. They are all amazingly nice and down to earth.

I've met the band a few times and had them sign stuff...they were all super nice!!! John was asking if I enjoyed the show, if I had a good time...I told Scott I liked how he dances around on stage and he laughed( I think he thought I was nuts) I had Charlie take a pic w/ my friend who is also a drummer and Charlie is his hero...And...Rob I met once more than the rest at the last Chicago show..He is just the sweetest, cuddliest, cutie ever! So cool, and so adorable!!!
*Smooches Rob*

I met them all too....post Spitz era.
Pretty cool guys.
Canthraxadian and myself helped Charlie setup his drumset for the What Doesn't die video.
Bunch of us street teamers got to meet them in Chicago at the Oasis 160 show.

I met the guys a few times and their equally cool and very nice to all the fans. There were alot of cool moments and they go out of the way to please the fans. The last show they had in Philly I got turned away at the front door because it was a 21 and over show. I ran to the back alley and John and Rob were signing autographs. John let me in through the back and I got to see the show which was really awesome . After the show I skipped out on Dio and got to meet Joey Vera for the first time and he was really nice also.

Yeah, I don't know what was up with that club. They let you in the last time we saw Anthrax there and let you drink and all. It was really cool of John to remember you and let you in. Remember the last time we saw them there, we chilled with Scott uptairs at the Troc and George came all late and missed the entire set. And this was when they were headlining.

Been backstage last year but damn was I nervous!!! I was like a 14 year old, but they were cool !!! talked to Scott and Pearl and a bit wth Frank and Rob, I stayed too long cause I was waiting for Benante to sign my things, but he didn't show up!!
So because of that , Charlie is an ass!!!:)

I went up to the bar after a show at Birch Hill a few years ago, and found myself next to Frankie. I complimented him on the show and asked him about a rumored Zeppelin cover. He told me they recorded it but wouldn't be releasing it; I told him how good the show was again and shook his hand, so I have to say he was cool.
