met anyone from anthrax?

I saw Scott at a LOA show at the Birch Hill and he was on the side of the stage watching a opening Band (the band was Far) I was going to go up to him and shake his hand and say "Hi" but this huge bouncer yelled at me and flung me back. Other than that was the closest I ever came to meeting anybody in Anthrax.

I met a them at an In-Store signing in Sydney '96. Charlie was sick and wasn't there. Scott really didn't look like he wanted to be there. John on the other hand I think someone already mentioned earlier, was so friendly and affable. Bumped into them again couple hours later at Utopia records and got to chat with John and Frank. Frank was really cool too. Scott again looked like he didnt want to be bothered. Some poor nervous guy hadn't noticed that fact and went up to him and was going on like, "Scott dude we were just driving down the main street in a convertible with Anthrax on full volume".... the look of pain on Scotts face was priceless actually. :p
(I was kinda keen to approach him as to if they were a chance of opening for Kiss on their reunion tour but didn't have the nerve after that)

I have been graced by being in their presence! :p Just been in close proximity, gotten some things signed by Scott. I would love to have the opportunity to meet the guys and hang out with them. One thing that irks me is that as many times as I have been to their shows (which is like 5 or 6 times so not a whole heck of a lot), I have never gotten one of Scott's dang guitar picks! Although at the last show, Charlie practically handed his drumstick right to me...would have gotten it too if I had been 2 or so inches taller! Damn tall people!

I got to take pics with them when they came to Mcallen last year. They were really cool guys. I'm gonna go see them in Monterrey in March and if my friend's brother in law comes through, I might be able to go backstage and hang out with them.

I had the pleasure of meeting 'em all at John Bush's 1st UK show,at Camden-Underworld in London, about a week after the "Sound of white Noise" album was released.

Very nice guys! They signed lots of stuff,inlay-cards,posters,and even my shirt! Got me a pic with Frank, and, after the soundcheck(which mself and my friend heard),we met them again without the rest of the autograph hunters around!A good 5-10 minute chat with Scott,Charlie and Frank.

Also, when they heard I had no ticket, after flying over from Ireland just for the gig,I got in on the guestlist(same agion in November that year in London..a guest-list & after-show pass!).

They rule!

I met Charlie and he was great, Rob was great as well. We got a "rock n roll" picture together, you know, horns up he was looking crazed and sticking his tongue out. John was really cool. The first time I met them Frankie must of had a bad day and he was hollering about something so I just didn't bother him. Scott was cool he signed some stuff and chit chatted. They all are pretty cool as far as I can tell but everyone has their days so you never know.

Yeah, I don't know what was up with that club. They let you in the last time we saw Anthrax there and let you drink and all. It was really cool of John to remember you and let you in. Remember the last time we saw them there, we chilled with Scott uptairs at the Troc and George came all late and missed the entire set. And this was when they were headlining.

Yeah that night we hung out with Scott I told him I wished they play Caddilac Rock Box cause it was one of my favorites and then when they came to Va they played it. I don't know if he did it out of request or if they just wanted to try it out. It was good live.

I've had all of them sign some shit for me at one time or another but I can't really say I've actually "met" a member of Anthrax except for Lilker before a S.O.D. show. He was extremely fucking cool.

My girlfriend and I met them at the MOMD sighning after the whiskey show in LA, we were starstruck, charlie has been my idol for most my life... although the seemed tired after kicking major ass on stage (understandable) they took time to meet and sign with fans and i thought that was great and they all seemed really nice... charlie seemed like he didnt want to shake anyones hand, when people stretch out there hands to shake he put up a fist to do the fist bump... charlie personalized his drumhead for me.... it was great
Charlie also pointed and smiled at my gf's nightmare before christmas purse...
and Rob was kinda flirting with her lol... who can blame him she's HOT!!!

oh how do you post pics on here ill post my autographed stuff and my hot girlfirend sporting hers lol....

Reminds me of that old Judas Priest song...."I'm your turbo lover..." I used to be SO into Rob Halford.

you used to be so INto rob halford? did you give him a reach around? :loco:
lol j/k Halford still rocks

That is harsh, Octane.
I was all ga-ga for Halford until one day (think I was a freshman in high school) when this guy thought it would be fun to crush me by informing me about Rob's sexual preferences. ANYWAY. I cried. What can I say, I am a Libra... Still love the music to this day! Classic Judas Priest is awesome stuff. Love "Defenders of the Faith"!!
