I have been seeing a whole bunch of old school sounding bands coming out of the woodwork. Metalcore, scremo and such seem to be dying out in this area.

i was at a club recently and saw 3 guys [??] come in, all dressed in tight, obviously girl jeans and matching black hoodies, with the hoods on and the drawstring pulled tight, to make them look like coneheads.

it was the silliest thing i've ever seen in my life and the folks in the club were calling them the 'girlfriends.'

funny stuff, but i'm not convinced that's the way these guys intended it to be.

I gotta say, I used to be a huge metal fan, but over the past few months, I've gotten so sick of the shit that comes out of the genre that I only listen to a very limited number of bands, and it saddens me. It makes me fucking sick to see these faggots runing my beloved genre of metal. I hope all these metalcore/scramo bands buses or vans crash and they all die terrible, violent deaths.

I'm back to all my old school...the classics will never fade, but I really would love to discover something new and refreshing. If I was younger, unattached and didn't have four kids to support, I'd try to do it myself!
