It's been so long since I have purchased a metal mag. Basically because all the nu-metal shit has taken over the once good mags.
Are there any that focus on stuff none nu-metalish?

Every magazine listed above (except Kerrang! & Metal Hammer) is a METAL mag.

Metal Maniacs. Easier to find, and feel that the interviews and reviews are more in-depth than most of the others. Plus they have a love of almost everything metal (excluding nu/mall of course, though sometimes it slips in).

Terrorizer is good, but hard to find an up-to-date issue.

The Grimoire of Exalted Deeds is one the funniest goddamn zines though and caters to the extreme death/grindcore/gore metal genres.

Really? I've actually found that the writing in Metal Maniacs is shoddy at best. I studied journalism for 4 years and consider myself a fairly decent judge of writing, and MM ain't all that good.

BW&BK, Terrorizer & Unrestrained are all far superior in the writing category.
