Hello: I wanted to find out what you guys would recommend for a quality mic pre and A/D converter? I was suggested by Fletcher of Mercenary Audio to get a Great River Mp2NV mic pre and a Lavry Blue A/D. Thoughts on these choices? How about mics? I have a 57 and want to try a SM-7B on my 4x12 cab. Also, what plugins/bundles would you recommend that work well with tweaking the all out Metal Tones? I hear the Waves Gold or McDsp stuff is good? I'm using a Mac Pro and a digi 002R

Dude, do a search... you might find 90% of the answers to your questions, many of which have been asked before...

if you feel like experimenting with mics... go for it...
