Hi guys! First of all I would like to thank you all for sharing your knowledge. I've learned a lot reading your posts here! You guys really RULE!

It's very first time I decided to record a band (completely for free because it' my cousin's band and my knowledge is rather poor, so... it's a training for me). I'm recording 2 songs for them. As for now we have recorded 4 guitar tracks and a bass (which will be probably re-recorded next week because the bassist wasn't prepared enough to record it properly IMHO) for each of these two songs (drums are DFHS).
I decided to put one of the songs here and ask you guys if you want (or could) to try to mix it. I'll try to mix it later myself, but I would like to hear what you, guys, could do with these tracks:) I'm completely beginner, so hearing what you could do with these would be really great and helpful:]
And what do you think about guitar and bass sound at all? Is it good? Any criticism would be great:)

Here are the files - 5 .wav files (4 gtr tracks and 1 bass track), 1 midi file (drums) and 1 .cpr file (all of these tracks in cubase project):

Cheers!

PS. The band is called ESCAPE FROM (they're from Poland) and the song is entlitled 'Kolejny poziom nienawisci' (The Next Level of Hate)

playing back the midi file in quicktime on my mac is hilarious...
mac users have a look
ill give this a go

just a quick and dirty job:

I only have EZDrummer and I was too lazy to move the midi map to
the correct tracks that's why it sounds so dull.

I get a lot of artifacts and clipping because of the guitars but my
headphones are kinda forgiving so I tried anyways ;)

I guess with a decent amount of time this could be a great mix^^

Might give it a second shot later...

reup the guitars and export them at -8db if possible.
the tracks are clipping like hell and there's a lot of distortion on my speakers....

Here are the tracks at -8db:

http://sneapforum.celtiaproductions.co.uk/Urgul/escape_from/gtrR-quietly.wav

But the clipping is still there I think - I did a few mistakes during tracking, sorry  And I can't do anything about it right now, It must stay as it is :erk:

And thank you for your mix :kickass: Do you like guitar and bass tone at all? Any criticism is welcome :)

Anyone else could give it a try? :headbang:

Hey, could someone post an audio drum track?

I don't have DFHS and I spent a while trying to setup some samples I have to the correct midi signals or whatever, but there's like all kinds of stuff and i'm not sure what should be a crash, splash, hihat, or whatever hit. I think i got the kick and snare, but wtf.

Dude, when I tried to extract the rar I got errors on rar files 6, 8 ,11 ...SW did you get the same thing...if so Urgul will you correct and put back on..

Sorry, guys! :erk: I uploaded all courrupted archives once again. They all are ok now (I checked it out :)).

Shadow_Walker - thanks for your mix:) It sounds really really good!! I like the bass tone especially - how did you process it? It rocks :) :headbang: :kickass:
