Metal Underground

Prodigal Son (power metal from mexico)
Nocturne (L.A. BM)
Imagika (SF thrash) they have had associations with various labels, but they deserve one that will promote them properly.
Deadfood (wierdos from Burbank. Jazzy, noise, grind, acid rock, bizarre-o wierd shit. Not sure if they are still around but a demo from a year ago was great)

Also, anyone else heard of PORE? I got a demo of this french band about a year an a half ago (though it was done in 98 or so) and it's amazing! Its a combination of harsh BM, techno, cold industrial, dance (!), and neo-classical guitar virtuosity, with a dab of dark-ambience. Phenomenal album that is one of the harshest, coldest sounding albums I've ever heard. The demo is called De Profundis, BTW. Their site hasnt been updated in a LOOOOOOOONG time, and no responses to my e-mails have been recieved...anyone have ANY info, by chance? Thanks!-Sadistik

Finally I was waiting for somebody to mention October Thorns....If I see Paul any time soon I'll have to kick his ass...well the least I can do is try to kick his ass...
