I'm new on this board and it's the first time I producing a metal band. I usually work with rock bands. I would appreciate to have any feedback on this mix.

Thanks for your input! I think the compression sounds you're talking about is the parrallel compression track. I'll check this out.

Hey thanks! Yeah I post most of my work on GearSlutz. It was the first time I was producing a metal band so I guessed that this was a better place for it.

I've also heard your rock productions before. Quality stuff!

This sounds pretty damn good to me too. I just noticed that the overheads are definitely louder than what I usually hear in metal productions, but IMO that's not necessarily a bad thing at all.

Thank you again! Really appreciated! Well I know about the cymbals being loud in the mix but the drummer really insisted on that. They gave me August Burns Red for reference.

Does anybody feel like the vocal maybe a bit too wet?
