Metalfest 2009

PQ's swansong...and I don't get to see them *is near tears* Perhaps it's better that way, I don't think I could really accept that final song...I'd be trying to superglue them to the stage

Can I ask any and all who are going to please take SO MANY PICS AND VIDEOS!

A spec of hope on the blue horizon eh?

Considering all the bad news that has come this year, I hope this one announcement will blow all the rest away.

I really hope there's at least one good video taken by somebody of this event. To miss out on the last performance of the classic Power Quest lineup would be really sad.

Powerplay magazine Metalfest review

The opening songs of Anglo- Italian power metal band Power Quest were unfortunately dogged by a sound desperately lacking bass and as such sounded weak and wishy washy. However, after some frantic knob twiddling, the mix improved and tracks like Human Machine and Devil on Fire (think they mean temple!) suddenly came alive. Receiving the best reaction of the festival so far, it was a fitting last show for the power metallers in their current guise as wholesale departures now signal a complete revamp of the band. Still, it was nice they went out on a high, giving the crowd a show to truly enjoy!
