METAL...HEAD!!!!!!

Last Monday I received a partial mail delivery. In the package was the fabled Saxon album "Metalhead"... :hotjump:

After the bombastic intro (and many spine-chilling shivers while awaiting the first actual song to start!) the title track "Metalhead" was unleashed...What MASSIVE CANNON DRUMS and CRUSHING GUITAR RIFFS!!! Just what I need: mid-tempo, tight and tougher-than-steel HEAVY METAL!!! I was mesmerized by the sheer, unstoppable force that this masterpiece song represented!

In fact I wondered that could this really be the same good old Saxon I have been used to so far...? After listening to some of the coolest classics like "Princess Of The Night", "Strong Arm Of The Law", "Rock & Roll Gypsy" and many alike which are all great metal rockers I was absolutely blown away by the brutal and mean heavy metal thunder that "Metalhead" is all about! If somebody says "Metalhead" is not true and pure heavy metal, then heavy metal doesn't even exist!

The whole album "Metalhead" is a totally wonderful and artistically/musically just about a perfect masterpiece! I couldn't find one weaker song on it (I didn't even want to!), each and every song holds just the right elements of heavy metal power. Strong and crushing guitar riffs, clean and searing guitar leads, massive and murderous drumming, tight and pounding bass lines...and, of course, probably the best vocal work Sir Bifford has ever released from him!!!

Metalhead is now among the Top 5 albums I have...

Can't wait to have the other album I ordered: "Unleash The Beast"...

And Unleash the Beast is my favourite with Wheels of Steel and Strong arm of the Law. Lionheart is great too, because it took me back in a time when Holland (Netehrlands) the golden age (De gouden eeuw)was the superpower in the World in the days of the V.O.C. Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie setting course to batavia and far beyond that, a third of the ships that sailed away never did return..brave man, without whom the Netherlands would have never become to what it is at this moment..We as dutchmen fought a lot of battles with the English men on war .
