Yet still fucking atrocious. People shouldn't try to cover Ennio Morricone. Especially not if you're in a band called Metallica. They should rename that album to We All Butcher Ennio Morricone because I'm sure that's what it's going to come down to.
its an improvement in tallicas production, on the cd every Ennio Morricone song is by a different artist, they chose Metallica for EOG. I think I heard Bruce Springsteen is another one on the cd and other random acts . I enjoy THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY SOUNDTRACK (very good listen), so I think its a good tune...(As for Metallicas new album... no comment)Oh don't get me wrong, I'd still rather listen to an album that has this track on it fifteen times in a row than I'd listen to St. Anger. But it still sounds completely wrong to me (having an orchestra play your songs really didn't work, don't try it the other way around for fucks sake.) And considering that Celine Dion is another one of the confirmed contributors to this "tribute" album, I can honestly say I'd rather insert pencils in both my ears until my eardrums pop than actually listen to this album. Leave the man alone please, he doesn't deserve this kind of torture.

Celine Dion?! What's she doing?! Better not be the love song from cinema paradiso, but it probably will be. I would guess that 90% of the covers on that cd will be that song...I know I've heard a few people do it, like Josh Groban. Some covers of his stuff I've heard are REALLY good, though, like Pat Metheny's versions of cinema paradiso stuff and some other fingerstyle guitar version I heard of Gabriel's Oboe (from The Mission). I hope someone does something from the great silence, and it would also be beyond rad if someone did a version of the main theme from "Danger Diabolik" (the most annoying descending guitar lick of all time).
PS the lead tone on this song is absolutely fucking horrible especially through the intro TURN YOUR WAH OFF

As do I, but there's one thing I think you are wrong about, Kirk knows he aint no Hendrix in fact he still frequently gets guitar lessons as he like the public knows that he still needs alot of work put into his guitar skills.
