I have had problems getting a good sound from my Marshall MF400 cab with celestion K100s.
It has always sounded stiff and undynamic.
Last week I ran a loud volume, neck pickup clean DI loop into it for 2 full days.
The difference this has made is unbelievable.
I can finally use this cab as an option to my other cabs when tracking guitars.
Here is a test using a song by tech metal band, Vile Regression.

I didn't get before and after with this song but there is huge difference.
This cab is 400 watts so regular use wasn't enough to break it in. The cones weren't moving enough. Neck pickup on les Paul with lots of big open chords and percussive mutes through triple rectifier clean channel at deafening volume for 2 full days did the job. It had an annoying 2k resonance and was stiff sounding. Sounds killer now. Just did a test for a reamp job yesterday and the mf400 won against the recto and blackstar.
Clean channel is much better for breaking in a cab because the transients jump much more than when you use drive.
