Mic for bass cabinet

What mics for bass cabs do you use? I heard that Shure beta 52 is good for it... what are your comments

I've been pleased more than once with with a simple MD421 combined with a DI.
The D12 is nice too.

try MD421 close miced + some sort of condenser farther away from the cab + DI signal

Haha, anyway, to date, I've only used DI basses and I'm perfectly happy with it.
