Playing around with mic placement and actually miced a different speaker than 99.9% of my other wav/mp3 posted here. I think it is a much fuller sound, still not sure I am happy with it but I can improve on it. Here's 3 samples.
There are 2 slightly different (1/4 inch and slight angle) mic positions. Filename with 4d is just off edge of dustcap join towards cone.
Filename with 4b is on edge of dustcap join mic pointing slightly more towards dustcap.
Filename with 8 is a combination of both mic positions. So this one is actually octal-tracked (is that a word? ) since there are 8 individual takes.
Anyway, EQ on guitars is 90-12k filter and 5k7 slight cut for the first 2 samples.
For the octal-tracked it is 90-12k filter and 5k7 slight cut for the 4d and 90-12k filter only for the 4b. Confused, good.
Note: Drums were made today after recording the guitars a few days ago, uke: and I couldn't remember what tempo I had the click set to when I recorded the guitars.

Apart from the cracks and pops (I was burning a data disk when exporting the tracks) and a bit too much boom on the low-end, what do you think of the general sound of the guitars? I don't know what sounds OK anymore.
Thanks for any feedback.
