Middle of Nowhere and The Matrix

Other than the cover, is this album directly influenced by The Matrix movies? I'm listening to it now I can find a lot of lyrical themes that could follow the movie lines, but nothing "specific." I was wondering if this is just me interpreting the lyrics the way I hear them, or if there was a conscious effort to make the lyrical content relate to the films.

Actually, I'm not sure to be honest. I don't pay real close attention to lyrics anyway, but you've peaked my curosity.
