Midi Question.

Ok so I was looking through my manual for my synth (casio insert jokes here about how they suck). And here is what is puzzling me:

"A note on/off message includes a note number and velocity. Note on velocity is always used to determine the relative strength of a note. This keyboard does not recieve NOTE OFF velocity data."

What the heck is note off velocity data? I have never heard of such a thing. Anyone know?

Taking a wild guess here, but, I would assume thats when you have a note with a velocity greater than 0, and then note after it with a velocity of zero. Essentially stopping/cutting off the previous note.

I could be wrong though.
