Midi Timeout on mac with Duet?

Hey guys I just got a new Duet about 2 months ago. Recently I started getting a midi timeout error whenever I try to open up cubase or garageband.

I had my 002 hooked up to my mac mini and it crapped out on me so I said fuck it and bought the duet. I love the interface but I am trying to figure out what the problem could be?

The Duet plays audio from youtube and itunes just fine.

I thought I got rid of all the digidesign divers from my computer but not really sure what's up with it?

Any of you guys experienced this? also I am running OSX Lion. and using Cubase 5.5.3

I'd say give this a shot to see if all your previous drivers are un-installed

Small update. Got all that shit taken care of. Digidesign drivers spew shit all over the place.
