Dudes, I'm in need of a certain kind of M1D1 util.
I need something that'll simply listen on a MIDI channel(s) and just indicate what CC# or other data is being transmitted buy a MIDI device when pressing a certain button.
My issue is that I have a keyboard player with sub-par gear I have built a dedicated VSTi PC to use in lieu of ghetto, $500 Yamaha, porta-grand sounds and we want to use his keyboard as a MIDI controller but we need to figure out how to get his keyboard to change presets on a given synth VSTi. His keyboard has a 10 key num pad for selecting sounds but they are clearly not based on a MIDI protocol because only 2 numbers perform any notable function and they don't correspond to the number pressed.
This makes my eyes rain.
