Are there that many fans on this board? It seems I see someone mention them in passing every now and then. So I just thought I would ask. But I'm sure most people only know them from "The Imperssion That I get" there one big hit. In my opinion the Bosstones like Anthrax deserve more money and fame than they get.

The bosstones rule !!!!! devils night out is one of the best albums ever it's such a great mix of ska, metal, punk and hardcore check it and any of the bands other SEVEN albums (new one this month) you will not be disapointed !!!!!!!!!!!!!

i only know, "the impression that i get" or knock on wood, whatever its called. from what i get with the horns and the ska and guitar riffs i think it would all end up kinda confusing in my mind i dont know. how do they put it all together so its not just a jumble?

If there is any band other than Anthrax or Armored Saint that I could recommend to anybody it would be the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. No shit........They absolutely kick ass. I didn't know anything from them other than "The Impression That I Get"....but I downloaded a few songs from Napster and immediately was blown away. Its a very cool thing when you can discover a band that has a lot of material and you get to buy up like 6 cd's in a months time and immediately see how they have progessed over the years and improved. Kinda like someone who would just hear Anthrax today for the first time. It was like fuckin christmas. I started with "Let's Face It" which had their one big hit on it. EXCELLENT!!! Heavy Guitars...Reggae Vibe....Horns....Crushing Voice....Good Drumming. I had finely found a group I could sink my teeth into that had some originality.....not all this absolute garbage we are force fed on the radio and MTV. I then picked up their most recent (at the time) "Pay Attention".....which was even better than "Let's Face It". After two awesome releases, I knew they were for real, so I went out and snapped up "Devil" Night Out", "Don't Know How to Party", and a couple others.

I could not recommend any stronger to you guys to pick up one of the two latest releases by them..."Let's Face It" and "Pay Attention". Totally cool music from some very talented and under appreciated fellows.

They also have a new release "Jack Knife to a Swan" coming out this Tuesday!!!!! Hell Fuckin Yeah!!! Something to tie me over till The Mighty Mighty Anthrax "Come for Us All"

Ive seen RBF in New York, last year on my holiday in the Roseland Ballroom, I had a special strap to go the balcony, after 4 songs I dived of the balcony and security threw me out, fuckin waste!!!

Why is it the Anthrax board always has the most open-minded and varied topics?

Let me begin by stating that the Bosstones are far and away the best (non-metal) band I've ever seen live. I truly hesitated to even say non-metal because that's selling them short as a musical act. They are that damn good. I've seen them probably 5 or 6 times now, and they've never failed to impress if not blow me away. The sheer energy that they pour into each and every show is absolute madness. Plus, how can you say anything bad about a who has a member who does NOTHING but "ska-dank" all show long?

I saw them not too long ago @ The Bowery Ballroom in NYC, and we were treated to a couple of songs w/ the legendary Angelo from Fishbone. Dickie & he together were a showman's dream. Hail Bosstones and those smart enough to listen to them!

Reel Big Fish don't "squash" anything to be honest with you, ESPECIALLY not a legendary act like the Bosstones. I've seen Reel Big 3 times myself, so I can at least back up my opinions (yes, that's all they are). Hell, I saw them last summer in NYC and Goldfinger blew them away!

When all is said and done, and Reel Big is *ahem* remembered with all the other teeny-bopper faves like Blink 182, it will be the Bosstones who are RESPECTED. 'Nuff said.

Also should add that the Bosstones cover of "Detroit Rock City" on the Kiss tribute "Kiss My Ass" is fuckin great!!! They along with Anthrax have two of the best efforts on that CD.

"Brass knuckles in his pocket.....Steel toed shoes......Life of the party when you factor in Booze" - MMB

I first heard them on the kiss tribute. It was my second favorite song on there, ("she" was fucking awsome)but only know "the immpression that I get", what are some good songs to give me a taste of them, and I will download them to see if I like them.
